💰 Credits & Pricing

How do credits work?

Each time you start a homework session (for example, sending a question and receiving explanations and follow-up answers), a small number of credits is used. The app shows you:

  • Your current credit balance
  • How many credits a typical session costs
  • When you are close to running out

Exact prices and bundles are shown inside the app and may vary by country and platform.

How do I buy or top up credits?

You can purchase credit packages through:

  • Google Play Store (Android)
  • Apple App Store (iOS)
  • PayPal (Web)

To buy credits:

  1. Click the Account button (bottom right)
  2. Click Balance to see your current credits
  3. Click Top-up Now
  4. Choose a credit package
  5. Complete the purchase through your app store

Your credits will be added to your account immediately after purchase.

What happens when I run out of credits?

When your credit balance is low, the app will show a warning. When you run out completely:

  • You won't be able to start new homework sessions
  • Your existing homework history remains accessible
  • You can purchase more credits at any time to continue

There is no subscription - you only pay for the credits you use.

Refund policy

If you experience technical issues with a purchase or are unsatisfied with the service:

  1. Contact support within 14 days of purchase
  2. Provide your transaction ID and reason for refund
  3. We will review your request and process refunds according to app store policies

Note: Refund policies may vary by platform (Google Play, Apple App Store, PayPal).

🔒 Privacy & Data Protection

What data do you store?

Homework content (photos of questions, uploaded files, text questions, and the AI's explanations and answers) is stored locally in your app for your convenience, so you can access your homework history anytime.

When processing your homework questions, data is temporarily sent to our servers to generate AI explanations, then returned to your device.

We also store:

  • Account data: Parent email address, basic profile information, chosen language
  • Usage data: Logs about how often the app is used, error reports, and performance metrics

We do not ask children to share unnecessary personal details, and we encourage families not to upload images that show faces or sensitive information unless strictly needed.

Data retention policy

We retain your data for the following periods:

  • Active accounts: Homework sessions and history are kept while your account is active
  • Inactive accounts: After 12 months of inactivity, we may delete old homework sessions
  • Deleted accounts: When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days

You can request data deletion at any time by contacting support or using the account deletion feature.

How to delete my data

To delete your account and all associated data:

  1. Contact support at support@math-kids.club
  2. Request account deletion
  3. Confirm your identity
  4. All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days

Alternatively, you can delete individual homework sessions from your history.

Data storage & security

Your data is stored securely:

  • Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest
  • Server location: Data is stored on secure cloud servers
  • Access control: Only authorized personnel can access data for support purposes
  • Regular backups: Data is backed up regularly to prevent loss

We follow industry best practices for data security and comply with GDPR and other privacy regulations.

Children's privacy protection

We take children's privacy seriously and comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and GDPR:

  • We do not collect unnecessary personal information from children
  • We encourage parents to supervise their children's use of the app
  • We do not share children's data with third parties for marketing
  • Parents have full control over their children's accounts and data
  • We do not use behavioral advertising or tracking

AI safety & guardrails

AI Homework Tutor is designed specifically for children and includes multiple safety measures to ensure age-appropriate interactions:

  • Content filtering: The AI is configured to provide only educational, age-appropriate responses
  • Inappropriate content blocking: Requests for harmful, violent, or adult content are automatically blocked
  • Educational focus: The AI is trained to stay focused on homework help and learning, not general conversation
  • No personal questions: The AI does not ask children for personal information beyond what's needed for homework help
  • Monitoring systems: We use automated systems to detect and prevent misuse of the AI
  • Parental oversight: Parents can review all AI interactions in the homework history

If you encounter any inappropriate content or behavior, please report it to support immediately.

Third-party data sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited information with:

  • AI service providers: To process homework questions and generate explanations (OpenAI, Anthropic)
  • Cloud hosting providers: To store data securely (AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Payment processors: To handle transactions securely

These providers are only allowed to use the data to provide their services to us and must follow strict privacy and security obligations. We do not share data with advertisers or social media companies.

👤 Account Management

Change password

To change your password:

  1. Click the Account button (bottom right)
  2. Click Change Password
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter your new password
  5. Confirm your new password
  6. Click Change Password

Your password must be at least 8 characters long. Choose a strong password and keep it private.

Note: We do not currently support changing your email address. If you need to change your email, please contact support.

Multiple children on one account

Currently, each account is designed for one user. If you have multiple children:

  • You can create separate accounts for each child
  • Each child will have their own homework history and credit balance
  • You can manage purchases through your app store family sharing settings

We are considering adding multi-child profiles in a future update.

Parental controls

Parents can monitor and control their child's use of AI Homework Tutor:

  • View history: Review all homework sessions and AI interactions
  • Credit management: Control when and how credits are purchased
  • Account access: Maintain control of the account email and password
  • Data deletion: Request deletion of specific sessions or entire account

We recommend that parents supervise younger children's use of the app and regularly review their homework history.

How can I report a problem?

If you experience issues with the app:

  1. Note the specific problem (error message, what you were doing)
  2. Take a screenshot if possible

    • Your account email

    • Any error messages

We typically respond within 24-48 hours.

How can I suggest new features?

We love hearing from users! To suggest a feature:

  3. Explain how it would help you

We review all suggestions and consider them for future updates.

Privacy & GDPR inquiries

For privacy concerns or to exercise your GDPR rights (access, correction, deletion, or objection):
